I have known Dr. Malik since he began his Gastroenterology fellowship at UIC in 1995. I served as an attending faculty member and endoscopy mentor for him throughout his fellowship.
Since then, I have kept close contact with him and see him regularly at yearly meetings such at DDW.
His work as a GI fellow was exemplary, and I still consider him the finest clinical fellow we have had at UIC since I began in 1994. His knowledge base, work ethic, and dedication to his patients were outstanding, and his endoscopic skills were excellent.
